Jeff Dean, a distinguished figure in the realm of computer science, has made significant and lasting contributions to the field of artificial intelligence (AI). His work at Google, where he currently serves as the head of Google AI, has been instrumental in propelling the company to the forefront of AI research and development. A true visionary, Dean was one of the founding members of Google Brain, a team that pioneered the development of large-scale artificial neural networks, a cornerstone of modern AI systems. His expertise and leadership have played a pivotal role in shaping Google's AI strategy and have solidified his position as a leading voice in the AI community.

Quoc Le is a distinguished Vietnamese-American computer scientist and a leading figure in machine learning research at Google. He co-founded Google Brain and has been instrumental in developing groundbreaking models like seq2seq and doc2vec, both have significantly advanced the field of natural language processing. Le also initiated the AutoML project at Google Brain, furthering the automation of machine learning tasks. His innovative work has earned him recognition as one of MIT Technology Review's "Innovators Under 35" and solidified his position as a pioneer in the field of AI.

Thang Luong is currently a Senior Staff Research Scientist and Senior Manager at Google DeepMind, formerly Google Brain. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University in 2016, during which he pioneered the field of deep learning for machine translation. At Google, Dr. Luong built state-of-the-art models in both language (QANet, ELECTRA) and vision (UDA, NoisyStudent). He co-founded Project Meena, which debuted the world’s best chatbot in 2020 and later became Google LaMDA chatbot in 2021. Dr. Luong has been co-leading the development of Bard Multimodality since 2022 and is the principal investigator of the AlphaGeometry project (published in Nature, 2024) that solves Olympiad-level geometry problems and competes at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Recently, he leads the Superhuman Reasoning team at Google to built the first AI that reaches Silver medalist level at IMO 2024.

Yi Tay is currently the co-founder and chief scientist of Reka AI, a globally distributed startup building multimodal large language models and advancing AI research. To date, Reka has raised more than 100M USD with a recent 1B+ valuation. Previously, he was a senior research scientist at Google Brain / Research working on LLMs, Transformer architectures, and model efficiency/scaling. During his time at Google, he was the co-lead of modeling of PaLM-2, and core contributor of LLMs such as Flan, UL2 and PaLM. Before Google, he obtained his PhD from NTU, Singapore

Wendy Uyen Nguyen is the co-founder of the Rethink Health Care Foundation, an organization dedicated to creating solutions for a new healthcare ecosystem. Dr. Thuc Vu is the CEO and co-founder of OhmniLabs, a robotics company. He previously founded two startups acquired by Google and Weeby.co. With a PhD from Stanford, he has deep expertise in AI and machine learning. He is also dedicated to fostering the tech community in Vietnam, co-founding VietSeeds, a scholarship program, and VietAI, an educational project. In 2017, he was recognized as one of Silicon Valley's "40 Under 40".

Vu Van is the co-founder of ELSA Speak, a prominent AI-powered English language learning app that focuses on pronunciation and fluency. With a vision to help non-native speakers achieve clearer and more confident English speech, Vu Van has leveraged her expertise in business and technology to make ELSA a global success. She holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and has been recognized for her innovative contributions to educational technology. Diyi Yang is an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University, and is also affiliated with the Stanford NLP Group, Stanford HCI Group, and Stanford Human-Centered AI Institute. Her research focuses on human-centered natural language processing and has received multiple paper awards or nominations at top NLP and HCI conferences. She is a recipient of the IEEE "AI 10 to Watch" (2020), Microsoft Research Faculty Fellowship (2021), NSF CAREER Award (2022), ONR Young Investigator Award (2023), and Sloan Research Fellowship (2024).

Po-Shen Loh is a social entrepreneur and mathematician, with a track record of inventing incentive-aligned solutions to timely population-scale real-world problems, from pandemic control to helping human society thrive in the AI era. He is a math professor at Carnegie Mellon University, and served a decade-long term as the national coach of the USA International Mathematical Olympiad team from 2013–2023, which ranked #1 in the world 4 times during that period. Since 2023, he has been the Vice President of the IMO Foundation, as the founder and organizer of the annual IMO Alumni Reunion. His latest research innovation brings together math stars and professional actors, to mass-produce live-streamed creative problem-solving lessons that match the engagement level of online video entertainment. His awards range from an IMO silver medal to the USA Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. His academic degrees are from Caltech, Cambridge, and Princeton.

Professor Truyen Tran, Head of AI, Health and Science at Deakin University, leads a world-class research team focused on developing Generalist AI and applying it to real-world challenges. His fundamental research explores the nature of intelligence, encompassing AI domains such as deep learning, generative AI, machine reasoning, unification of language and vision, cognitive architectures, and social AI. Under his leadership, the team is spearheading the transformation of science, healthcare, and engineering through AI. Translational projects include efficient exploration of molecular space, acceleration of drug discovery, materials characterisation, battery design and optimisation, and automation of software engineering. Professor Tran's expertise and leadership have garnered international recognition through numerous awards, major research grants, and global collaborations. He also won a silver medal at the 1997 International Physics Olympiad.”

Dr. Christopher Nguyen is the CEO and co-founder of Aitomatic, where he spearheads AI integration for industry leaders like Samsung, Nvidia, and TSMC. He launched the SemiKong project, the first open-source LLM for semiconductors, and co-leads the AI Alliance's Foundation Models Focus Area with IBM and Meta. Previously, he was the Global Industrial AI Leader at Panasonic and Google Engineering Director for Gmail and Google Apps, overseeing major innovations in cloud-based applications. At HKUST, he co-founded the Computer Engineering Program and established Vietnam's first Internet connection in 1997. In 1992, he was responsible for developing Vietnamese character encoding standards for Unicode 1.0, transforming Vietnam's digital landscape

Dr. Nguyen advises VinAI, FPT Software, and the Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment. As General Chair of the AI Semiconductor Conference in Da Nang, he connects Vietnam's tech community with global leaders in AI and semiconductors. He holds a BS from U.C. Berkeley and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.

Mr. Le Hong Viet graduated from University of Sydney majoring in Software Engineering. More than 15 years with FPT, he has held a crucial role in the technology growth of FPT, as well as contributed to the expansion of FPT in the international market. Chris Malone is a partner in Dalberg and a global expert in education, specializing in the use of technology in education systems. Prior to his role leading Dalberg‘s business development in Southeast Asia Chris was the global head of economic development for BCG, in which role he has worked with some of the key economic institutions in Abu Dhabi. Prior to this Chris was the managing partner of the Monitor group in the Middle East serving clients in the public and private sectors in the UAE, including several key government agencies and institutions in Abu Dhabi.

For the last three years Chris has led Dalberg’s work in global K-12 education with Google. This has involved the digital transformation of 20 schools across 10 countries and the design and implementation of Google’s leading edge AI tools in school systems. He has supported government policy on technology adoption including AI, and led Dalberg’s ongoing work with the Hong Kong education system to set the strategy for AI adoption across the board.

Yumi Thao Nguyen is a prominent leader in digital and cloud transformation, currently overseeing the Digital Natives Business for Google Cloud in Vietnam. She holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore and brings over 13 years of experience in the tech industry. Yumi's career includes significant roles at major multinational companies such as Oracle and Salesforce, where she honed her expertise in digital transformation. At Google Cloud, she now focuses on guiding clients through cloud adoption and Generative AI implementation, leveraging her extensive background to drive innovation and strategic growth.

Toan Duc Nguyen is the Country Manager of Google Cloud’s business in Vietnam. He is responsible for in-market operations and working with teams across Google to help companies in all industries digitally transform their business with enterprise-grade solutions and cutting-edge technology.

In his 25 year-long career in the technology sector, Toan has also served as Country Manager, Vietnam, EMC, and held other management roles with Cisco. During his eight years with EMC, Toan was instrumental in building its Vietnam operations from the ground up and establishing the company as the country’s leading data center vendor. At Cisco, he led both enterprise and commercial segments including local government agencies, state-owned enterprises and financial services institutions.

Jimmy Tran is a seasoned executive currently serving as the CEO & Vice Chairman of the Board at Galaxy Holdings. With extensive experience across various industries, he has held leadership positions such as Chairman at Smart Invests JSC, Managing Director at GalaxyOne, and CEO at Be Group JSC and Fim+ Digital JSC. Jimmy also co-founded VNG Corporation, where he served as Chief Technology Officer. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science from UC Irvine and possesses a diverse skill set that includes expertise in startups, business development, management, and investments.

Scott Fritzen joins Fulbright University Vietnam as the university’s second president on July 1, 2023.

Before joining Fulbright, Fritzen was Dean of the David L. Boren College of International Studies, Associate Provost (Global Engagement), and William J. Crowe, Jr Chair Professor in Geopolitics at the University of Oklahoma.

Fritzen’s career trajectory includes extensive experience in Asia on the leadership teams of ambitious new initiatives in higher education, including New York University Shanghai (where he served as the first Associate Provost) and the National University of Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (where he was a founding faculty member and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs). These roles gave Fritzen an appreciation of the unique opportunities for innovation and impact presented by young institutions.

He has also held faculty positions while serving as Vice Dean and Interim Dean of the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, New York University and as Director of International Executive Education at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, University of Washington.
